Par la même occasion on apprend via le nouveau portail open source d’Adobe que le nom de code de Flex 4 est “Gumbo” dont les grandes lignes d’évolution sont décrites ici.

A noter que 2 versions de Flex Builder sont disponibles à l’achat : La “standard” et la “professional” (respectivement 179 € et 499 €, ou 69 € et 219 € en tant que mise à jour depuis la version 2 (prix Hors Taxes)) .

Les différences entre les 2 versions (source : Adobe store) :

• Outils de tests : Les profileurs de mémoire et de performances vous permettent d’étudier l’utilisation de la mémoire et d’analyser la manière dont les applications exploitent les ressources. Les tests fonctionnels automatisés comprennent des tests de régression.
• Optimisation des composants de visualisation des données : Optimisez la visualisation des données au moyen du nouveau composant Advanced DataGrid. Flex Builder 3 Professional propose également des formules de rendu optimisées ainsi que de nouvelles fonctions de regroupement et de récapitulatif. Le composant Charts offre de nouvelles interactions, une API de dessin et la prise en charge de plusieurs axes.
