The new version of Flex has been revealed by Adobe on 11 June 2007.

Flex 3 SDK

The compilation of projects is considerably faster gains of 30 to 40% ... for the first time! Then, only the modified classes are recompiled ... all say the huge time savings ... New components are available, most around the DataGrid (Data Grid), to enable more complex renderings of a native:

Flex 3: Data grid
Flex 3: Data grid

A new management of localization files (to handle multi-language applications) at runtime. A long-awaited feature by many people: the Deep Linking. The what? Good for simple management back in your applications! And yes, to use the anchor (eg # foo), Flex will therefore point to a page within your application, and navigate via the buttons normally Previous / Next ... A revolution for referencing Flex! A example here. Another big new feature: the management of the cache in Flash Player. Quite difficult to explain, but it can be summed up as: you go to a site like Yahoo Maps, the Flash Player will cache all components (up to 20MB) and will, during a visit to another rich application (like Picnik), a load much faster. Finally, here is a pdf by Matt Chotin summary of key developments and issues of Flex 3 Moxie :)
